Guy Langlois teaches sustainable farming skills and natural building to people with mental barriers
at the farm at Cedar Woods. He is the Farm director for the MCSEEDS for People with Barriers Society.
He enjoys showing people with mental barriers how to grow food, improve their health through better nutrition and
sharing his passion for cooking.
Guy is a certified Journeyman Carpenter and teaches building science with the faculty of Physics/Engineering/Astronomy
at Vancouver Island University in the Green Building and Energy Technology program.
He takes joy in mentoring his students and encouraging them to pursue a sustainable lifestyle.
He is known as a local farmers' advocate and has actively participated on numerous boards and committees such as
President of the Nanaimo Community Garden Society, the Nanaimo Poultry Collective and the Mid Island COOP Food Sustainability Committee.
